Portland Product Photography at its Finest

Sillydog Photography photo of Loft Organic Tangernie LiqueurYep, I’m takin’ about me.  You can check out all the bottles over at the New Deal Distillery site.
I tried it out, doing a gig for Lisa of Loft Liqueurs, who I’m also helping to make said liqueurs in commercial quantities. Turns out, I do pretty good work, just as Matt had suggested. I’ve had several photography avenues open up lately, so I’ll keep you posted. However, I might just have to put my shingle out as a product photographer.

These images were actually taken outside, with natural light. Cool, eh?

Loft Organic Liqueurs have agave syrup in them instead of sugar or corn syrup, and they’re flavoured with real organic ingredents instead of essential oils or toxic chemicals. The whole product line, which includes ginger, lemongrass, tangerine, blueberry and lavender (I swear, it’s good) for sale in Oregon as of 1 July. They’ve been on sale at quite a few different stores and bars in California and New York for some time. The rest of the world can buy them online.

Everyone LOVES the tangerine, though we’ve not sampled the blueberry yet. Matt’s chompin’ at the bit, and had even put the model bottle in the freezer at one point. I’ll let you know.

See how great my new tangerine bottles looks compared with the previous bottles. Oh, I’m so pleased with how it turned out.

Finally Finished

Well, pretty much finished — there are a few touches I could make, but I started building this website early this summer in my “spare” time and just now, finally got enough black tea in me to just stay up all night and get it done.

Kristin Zabawa Photography - Specializing in Portrait, Pet and Large Animal Photography

It’s for my friend and “employer” Kristin Zabawa, a gifted photographer who I occasionally assist with headshot photography.  It’s a lot of fun and educational for me.  Also, she’s a great gal.  I recommend her to any of my actor acquainances.

I think it looks pretty spiffy, it is is my first foray into flashy-ness.  So, the moral of the story is that I can make a functional website, but it takes a little while.

Sites Up - One More in Progress

Sons of AsgardI’ve got Matt’s sites up, though I need to fix one of the pages on one and add content on another.

The first is Meet the Greys — think of it as My 3 Aliens but, w/ cheese. The other is the one I prefer, but since they’re selling it to Hollywood, all the cool aspects of the story will undoubtedly be gone in the final product if there ever is a cartoon of it. It’s called Sons of Asgard, and it’s the complicated backstory as to why Thor always kept trusting Loki when they got to be grown up gods by telling the story of their shared youth. They’re also joined by Sif who is righteously bad azz as the girl that keeps it all together when things get really hairy.

For Kristin’s site and in an effort to just get generally better, I’m trying to get a become a bit more adept with the Flash, so I’m putting slideshows together for her with content she’s writing. It’ll be slick, but it’s a lengthy process unless you’re very adept, indeed. I’m getting there, hopefully. It would be nice to spend more time on actual design rather than just bumbling around and figuring out what I even can do.

On the Way to the Farm, I Got Distracted

I’m making a website for Matt. You know, for Xmas. I’m also working on one that I’m doing in trade for some real lessons and lighting help in a studio situation. More on Matt’s studio session later when I finally have time to go through the pics.

In the meanwhile, I’m just helping him get ready for the Licensing Expo Show in New York. He leaves tomorrow and will be gone nearly 3 weeks. Yikes! He’s a migrant worker in LA. Well, I suppose most everyone is.
Well, I’ll let you know how they come out when I’m done, but in the meanwhile, I’m finding a few little apps here and there that are new, at least to me, since I last did major overhauling work on my own site. Perhaps it’s time for an update - especially w/ the photos section.

Well, here goes w/ a new slideshow app - it’s my set of pictures of agriculture, horticulture, silviculture and all the rest of the -ultures that in the end, are all ag to me.
